From 17 April to 6 October the daily rail connection between Munich and Innsbruck with the Riviera Romagnola will be operational with important innovations that will make Germany/Austria and Romagna increasingly closer and connected in a sustainable way.
One of the first new developments is that in 2025 the trains will continue to Riccione and Cattolica, maintaining the stops in Bologna, Cesena and Rimini.
Passengers will find a new type of train: the RailJet new generation, made by Siemens, with wifi connection on board, with a capacity of 532 seats and a maximum speed of 230 kilometers per hour.
In the multifunctional carriage there are three spaces for wheelchairs for the disabled with low-floor entrances, six bicycle racks and space for skis and snowboards. Finally, there is a restaurant and three snack areas with vending machines on board.
Timetables
The first RJ 83 train leaves at 9.34 from Munich, arriving in Cesena at 17.02, then Rimini at 17.30, Riccione and finally Cattolica at 18.16. The first return from Romagna with the RJ 82 (operational from 18 April) from Cattolica at 12.16.
Comments
"The 2025 season of the Munich-Rimini line brings many important innovations in terms of service, which we hope will translate into even more passengers from Germany to Romagna" - underlines the Councilor for Tourism of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Andrea Corsini.
"The extension of the Brenner railway line for the year 2025 is a pleasure and a new challenge. From one train a day round trip only on weekends, we have gone to one every day for the 3 summer months and now we will have almost 6 months of connecting service from Germany and Austria to the Adriatic coast. A sign that Italy and the coast always remain a welcome and appreciated destination beyond the border, north of the Brenner" - underlines Marco Kampp, director international long-distance passenger transport and managing director-CEO Deutsche Bahn Italia Srl.
